Vivid colour is a maintenance job. Semi-permanent pigment sits on the outside of the strand rather than inside it, so every wash takes a little away, and the difference between two weeks of good colour and six is almost entirely down to what you do afterwards.

The Crazy Color Rainbow Conditioner is built for that stretch. It smooths and seals the cuticle after washing, which slows the rate at which pigment escapes, and it conditions bleached hair that has usually had a hard time getting to the colour in the first place. It works across the full Crazy Color range, reds through to blues, purples and greens.

It is a conditioner, not a toner, so it does not add pigment back. What it does is protect what is already there and keep the hair soft enough to handle, which bleached hair rarely is on its own.

250ml. Apply after shampooing, leave for a few minutes, rinse in cool water. Cold water and fewer washes will do as much for your colour as any product.

Application tips

Lengths and ends only. Bleached hair needs it most from the ears down, and the scalp does not need conditioner at all. A generous handful, worked through with your fingers rather than a comb, since combing bleached hair while it is wet costs you strands. It also works as a co-wash between colour washes, which cuts the number of times pigment gets a chance to escape.

Results

Bleached hair stops squeaking. That squeak is an open cuticle, and it is the same thing letting your colour out, so softness and colour retention arrive together rather than as separate wins.

Detangling gets manageable. Colour looks like colour for longer rather than going chalky at the ends. It leaves no pigment behind, so a red today and a green next month are both fine.
