Camille Rose Curlaide Moisture Butter: Define & Moisturise for Natural Hair 8 oz
Shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and olive oil, whipped into something you scoop rather than pour. Curlaide sits at the rich end of the Camille Rose range, and the format tells you who it is for.
Dense coils and kinky textures that swallow lighter products and still feel rough by evening are the target. The butter melts on contact and coats the strand properly, sealing moisture in rather than letting it flash off. On finer curls it will be too much, so keep it to the ends or skip it. The four fats behave differently, which is why they are blended: shea and cocoa butter give the body and the sealing, coconut oil gets into the strand faster than the butters can, and olive oil thins the mix enough that you can spread it. That is why a butter like this outlasts a cream by days rather than hours.
Where it works:
- Sealing water and leave-in into the strand after washing
- Twists and braids that need to hold for days without going dry
- Ends that keep splitting and need weight on them
- Stretching a wash day out by three or four days
The 8 oz jar lasts, because warming a small amount between your palms until it turns to oil goes much further than scooping it out cold. Smooth it down each section rather than raking it through.

Application tips
This is a butter, so warmth matters. Scoop a small amount, rub it between your palms until it melts, then apply to damp hair in sections from the ends upwards. Roots rarely need any.
Smooth each section flat with your palms for definition, or twist it for a set. Give it time to dry fully before you separate anything, otherwise the frizz arrives early.
Results
Coarse, dry hair takes on some weight and stops fluffing outward at the first sign of damp air. The curl pattern clumps and holds, and combing through the next day is far less of a fight.
Moisture is the headline. Hair stays soft for days rather than hours, and a twist-out set with it keeps its shape well past the first night.
