Camille Rose Black Castor Oil + Chebe Buttercream Strengthens & Nourishes Hair for Curly & Coily Hair Types 8 oz
Chebe is a Chadian hair tradition, and the reason it travelled is length retention rather than growth. The powder is worked into hair with oil and butter, the hair is then left alone, and it holds onto the length it has instead of snapping it off at the ends. Camille Rose have put that idea into an 8 oz buttercream.
The format matters. This is a cream rather than an oil, so it moisturises and styles in one pass, and it goes onto damp hair rather than dry. Black castor oil carries the weight and the chebe does the rest.
Where it works hardest is the ends, which is where dry, breakage-prone hair fails first. Applied in sections and left in, it keeps ends soft enough to twist, braid or tuck without them fraying.
Use it as your moisturiser before a protective style, or as the cream in a twist-out on hair that needs more than a light leave-in can give.
Built for curly and coily hair. If your curls are loose, this will be heavier than you want.

Application tips
Damp hair, in sections, worked from the ends up rather than the roots down, since the ends are the oldest hair and the part that needs it.
Smooth it along each section between your fingers, then twist or braid. On a wash-and-go, use less and scrunch. Reapply to the ends midweek without rewetting the whole head. Nothing gets rinsed out.
Results
Ends stay soft enough to handle, which is what stops them fraying and snapping off during styling. Length is retained rather than lost at the tips.
The cream sits between a moisturiser and a styler, so a twist-out sets properly from it without a second product on top. Coils feel plumper and the hair takes a comb without the dry crunch.
