Bond repair products come out of the same thinking as salon bond builders. Hair that has been coloured, relaxed or heat-styled has broken links inside the strand, and a product addressing those does something different from a conditioner sitting on the outside. As I Am put their Bond Complex Technology into a 60 ml oil rather than a treatment you rinse away.
The oil base is soybean, sunflower, castor and moringa seed oils, with amla extract and ceramides. The ceramides are worth noting, because they sit in the gaps in a damaged cuticle, which is why the finish reads as smooth rather than slick.
It is lightweight, and that is what makes the dropper practical. You can put one or two droppers on the scalp of coily hair and not regret it, and you can put three drops on the ends of straight hair and not see them.

Application tips
How you use it depends on your texture. Coils and curls take a dropper or two straight onto the scalp and through the hair, left in. Wavy and straight hair does better with it as a pre shampoo soak, applied dry an hour or so before you wash. Everyone else, three drops on the ends after styling. Warm it between the palms first either way.
