Reds fade faster than any other family, which is why Wella built a dedicated line for them instead of folding them into the main chart. Vibrant Reds is that line, in the professional 60ml tube.
The ME+ part refers to the dye molecule Wella uses in place of PPD and PTD. Wella's claim for it is a reduced risk of clients developing a new allergy to hair colourants, and it is the reason a lot of salons moved their whole colour bar across. Performance did not change with it. Coverage still runs up to 100% on grey, and the tones stay pure rather than pulling brassy.
Reds also need the most honest conversation before the service starts. Pigment size is why they fade first and no formula changes that, so the maintenance plan matters as much as the shade choice.
