Truzone Cream Peroxide 6% 20 Vol Professional Hair Lightening & Colour Developing for Salon Professionals & Home Users 250 ml / 8.45 oz
Twenty volume is the setting most permanent colour is designed around. It gives enough oxidation to open the cuticle and develop the tint properly, covers grey reliably, and lifts a level or two alongside bleach. For a straightforward root touch up or a full head of permanent colour, this is usually the bottle you want.
Truzone make it as a cream, which is the practical part. It blends into tint without lumps, sits on the section without sliding, and gives an even result from root through to the ends instead of a patchy band where the product ran out. Blending is where cheap developers fall down, and it shows up later as tonal drift between the crown and the nape.
The 250 ml size is a sensible amount for home colourists, and for salons keeping a spare on the shelf. Mix to the ratio your colour brand specifies, and mix only what the head in front of you needs. Developer that has already met tint does not keep.
Aqua (Water), Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Etidronic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Stannate

Application tips
Twenty volume is the everyday developer, the one most permanent colours are formulated around.
Check your dye's ratio, mix in a plastic bowl to a smooth cream, and apply straight away. Roots first where the colour has grown out, mid-lengths and ends last, since the scalp speeds the reaction up. Time from the final section. Patch test 48 hours ahead, gloves on, rinse before you shampoo.
Results
Enough lift to shift a shade while the colour deposits fully, which is the balance most permanent dyes are built around.
Greys cover properly rather than staining pale. The cream stays put on a section, so colour lands where you put it and the result comes out even from root to tip. Of the volumes on the shelf, this is the one you will reach for most often.
Composition
- Peroxide
- At 6% it lifts a shade or so while depositing full colour
