If your hair is dry and frizz-prone rather than damaged, a smoothing mask is a better buy than a repair one. The job is different. Repair rebuilds; smoothing flattens the cuticle so humidity has less to grab hold of.
Tresemme claim up to 72 hours of frizz control on this one, which in practice means the second and third day after a wash stay tidier than they normally would. It is a heavy, creamy mask in a 300ml tub, and it wants to go on washed, damp hair and then be rinsed out properly. Left in, it will flatten volume.
The hydration side is worth as much as the smoothing. Frizz on dry hair is often just thirst showing itself, so a mask that puts moisture back tends to fix the surface problem at the same time.
Best on dry, frizzy, straighter to loosely wavy hair, or on curls where you want a sleeker finish rather than more definition. Once a week, or after any wash you know will end in a blow-dry.

Application tips
Towel the hair first. A mask applied over dripping wet hair is diluted before it starts.
Take a walnut-sized amount for shoulder length, more for anything longer, and smooth it downwards along the hair rather than scrunching it up, since the direction you apply in is the direction the cuticle ends up lying. Five minutes is the minimum. Rinse with the coolest water you can stand.
Results
Blow-dries get quicker and the smoothness holds into day two and day three rather than fluffing up overnight. Humidity has less to grab at, so a walk in drizzle stops undoing an hour of work.
Hair feels heavier in the hand, which is the point on hair that has gone dry and flyaway. Curls read looser and sleeker rather than more defined.
