That order suits hair that is genuinely dry rather than mildly thirsty. Batana oil carries the formula with keratin and proteins alongside it, and the reason for going first is that the lengths get conditioned before any cleanser touches them. Ends that feel rough and dull by the end of the week are the obvious candidates.
The 300 g jar is a scooping format, so work in sections from the roots down and make sure the ends actually get covered. Leave it the short time the pack specifies, then rinse and carry on with your usual shampoo.

Application tips
You will get through more of this than you would a wet-hair mask, so scoop generously and count on a good handful for dense hair. Cover the head with a cap once it is on. Keep it off the scalp if your roots run oily, since the shampoo comes afterwards and will not clear a heavy layer. Rinse thoroughly before the shampoo goes on, or you will be washing twice.
Results
The lengths feel noticeably less brittle before they even get to the shampoo, and the wash that follows does not take that softness straight back out. Ends look less frayed and the whole length behaves better under a comb. It is a heavier treatment than a rinse-out conditioner, so once a week or once a fortnight is about right for most hair.
