It is built on Jamaican black castor oil with biotin worked in, then rosemary and peppermint for the scent and the cooling hit on the scalp. That cooling is the part people either look forward to or dread. It lasts a couple of minutes and is strongest on a freshly washed scalp.
Used as a daily scalp oil it conditions the skin at the roots and keeps a parting from feeling tight in cold weather. Used weekly it does more as a pre-wash treatment, since castor oil is thick enough to hold onto the hair through a shampoo. Either works. What does not work is treating it like a finishing oil on dry ends, where it looks greasy rather than glossy. Fits type 3 and type 4 hair most naturally.

Application tips
Pick one job and stick to it. Daily scalp oiling wants a couple of drops per row and nothing more. A pre-wash treatment wants a fuller application, an hour of sitting, and two rounds of shampoo afterwards.
Either way it goes onto skin, not hair. Part, apply, massage, move on. Four rows front to back and four across covers a full head.
Results
A cool wave runs across the scalp within seconds and drops away after a minute or two.
Skin at the roots stays comfortable through the week and a parting stops feeling papery. Used before a wash, hair comes out of the shower softer and combs more easily. Roots pick up a low shine rather than a wet one.
