Biotin and Jamaican black castor oil in a solid butter, scented with lavender and mint.
It is a sealing butter first. Warmed between the palms it goes from firm to slippy in a few seconds, then spreads through damp hair and holds the water in. Frizz and flyaways settle under it.
The lavender and mint keep it from smelling like a plain castor oil product, which is the usual complaint about butters this rich, and it is a small thing that decides whether a tub gets used or shelved.

Application tips
Dig out a small amount with the back of a fingernail and hold it in a closed palm for ten seconds. It turns from solid to oil at body temperature, and applying it before that happens is what leaves streaks.
Press it into the ends of damp hair, then put whatever remains onto dry elbows or knuckles. For the scalp, part first and apply straight onto the skin.
Results
Dry ends stop feeling rough after one use and hold that for a couple of days. Flyaways stay flat instead of lifting the moment a scarf comes off.
Skin takes it the same way, sinking in rather than sitting on top. It is a solid butter, so dense hair uses considerably more of it than fine hair does.
