Application tips
Set the parting before anything else. Wet a cotton bud, run it along the part line to flatten stray fibre, and the lace lies down properly. A dusting of powder close to your skin tone knocks back any shine on the mesh.
Style outward from the part. Heat is fine on the fibre, but keep the plates well clear of the lace, and wash with the parting facing up so the knots are not dragged.
Results
Up close the part looks like a line of scalp rather than a strip of stitching, and it keeps that impression under overhead light, which is where most partings give up.
The fibre goes from flat and smooth to full and waved as you like, holding whatever shape it is left in until you rinse it out. Soft to handle, and neutral enough at the part that it suits a wide range of complexions.
