Argan oil in a 1000g tub is unusual, and it makes this the cheapest way most people will ever buy an argan treatment. Skala place it in the nourishment stage of their routine, for hair that feels dry and looks dull.

  • Nourishes hair that has gone dry and lost its shine
  • Revives dull lengths without altering the texture
  • Works as a rinse-out treatment, a co-wash or a pre-shampoo step
  • Three minutes standard, fifteen under a heat cap

One thing worth flagging: unlike the rest of the Skala creams, the official directions for this formula do not cover leave-in use, so this listing does not suggest it. Rinse it out or apply it before you shampoo, and keep the leave-in job for one of the others.

Application tips

Rinse out or pre shampoo, not leave in. Skala give no leave in directions for this formula, so treat it as a wash day product. Through washed lengths for three minutes, or fifteen under a heat cap.

As a pre shampoo, comb it into dry hair half an hour before you get in the shower, then wash it out. That version suits very dry hair better than the rinse out does.

Results

Dry, dull lengths get their gloss back and the hair looks fed rather than coated. The feel changes too, softer between the fingers and less rough at the ends.

Used before a shampoo it protects the hair through the wash, so it comes out less puffed up and easier to comb. Nothing about the texture or the curl pattern changes.
