Apply it to damp hair rather than dry, since a moisturising cream is far easier to distribute while the hair still holds water, and take it through the ends properly. Then leave it. Application tips
Section wet hair into four before you open the jar, because this is thick enough that you will want both hands free. Take a scoop per section, smooth it down the length, then twist or coil the section around a finger and let it go.
Work the whole head that way. Air dry, or sit under a hood on low. Fluff the roots only once everything is completely dry.
Results
Coils come out defined and clumped together rather than fraying into each other. The cream leaves them soft to touch rather than hard, so the shape survives being handled.
Frizz across the top of the head lies flatter. Because it conditions while it styles, hair that would normally need a leave in underneath can often go straight into this on a quick wash day.
