Skala Brasil Amido de Milho Hair Treatment Cream Strength & Shine 1000g
Amido de Milho is the corn starch one, and it sits in Skala's hydration stage rather than their repair stage. If your hair is dry, frizzy and generally unruly rather than damaged in a specific way, that is the right shelf to be reaching for.
Coconut oil, shea-derived conditioners and panthenol round it out, which makes it the most straightforwardly moisturising cream in the range. Nothing in it is trying to rebuild a broken strand. It is trying to put water back into one and then keep it there. The 2-in-1 format is the other reason people buy the litre tubs: the same cream works as a deep conditioner, a leave-in or a co-wash, so one purchase covers three steps of a wash day. Use it thickly and rinse for the first, sparingly on damp hair for the second, and as the entire wash for the third.
It is formulated for all hair types. At 1000g, one tub outlasts most routines, which is the argument for the big size even when the shelf space is a nuisance.

Application tips
On wash day, comb it through clean, wet lengths and leave it for three minutes. A heat cap and fifteen minutes turns it into a proper deep treatment if you have the time.
For everyday use, a much smaller amount stays in damp hair as a leave in cream. As a co wash it replaces shampoo entirely, massaged over wet hair and scalp, which suits weeks where you are washing often.
Results
Dry, unruly hair calms down. The frizz that shows up as a halo by the afternoon stays flat, and the hair feels softer to run a hand through.
Shine builds over a few uses rather than appearing all at once. Strands feel stronger under tension, and hair that had gone dull and rough looks fed rather than coated.
