Colour fades fastest in the first few weeks, and most of what pulls it out is friction, heat and washing. An oil serum will not stop that on its own, but a smoothed cuticle holds pigment better than a roughed-up one, which is the job this does.
Purple rice water is the base. The serum itself is light. A few drops rubbed between the palms and pressed through mid-lengths and ends is enough, and it will not turn fine hair greasy or drag curls out of shape.

Application tips
Less than you think. Two or three drops warmed in the palms, pressed onto the lower half of the hair and nothing at the roots. Wet hair takes it as a smoothing base under a cream; dry hair takes it as a finishing pass over flyaways.
Results
Flyaways settle and the lengths pick up a shine that looks like healthy hair rather than a coating. The cuticle lies flatter, so colour keeps its depth for longer between salon visits.
Nothing goes greasy or heavy, even on fine hair, and curls hold their shape instead of dropping. Frizz stays down on damp days with no hold in the product at all.
