Frizz is mostly a humidity problem. Hair that is short on moisture pulls it out of the air, the cuticle lifts, and the smooth finish you left the house with is gone by lunchtime. This conditioner works on that by putting the moisture in first and then smoothing the cuticle down over it.
Papaya and neroli sit at the front of the formula, with Fair Trade shea butter doing the conditioning. It rinses clean and leaves hair soft rather than slippery, so a blow-dry or a smooth-out afterwards behaves itself.
Where it does less is definition. This is a smoothing conditioner rather than a curl conditioner, so if you are chasing clumps and spring you will want something with more weight behind it. The trade is deliberate: a flatter cuticle, a little less volume, and far less halo of frizz by mid-afternoon.
Use it after the matching All Day Frizz Control Shampoo if you have it, though it works on its own too. Comb it through, leave it a couple of minutes, rinse. Suits wavy through curly hair, type 2a to 3c, especially anyone smoothing a texture that fights back in damp weather. 13 oz / 384 ml.
