Schwarzkopf LIVE Post-Bleach Toner: Neutralise Yellow & Banish Brassiness for Bleached Hair (2 Shades)
Bleach lifts pigment out in stages, and yellow is the last stage to go. That is why freshly bleached hair so often lands somewhere between straw and brass rather than the clean blonde you had in mind. Toner is the step that fixes it.
This one deposits cool pigment to cancel the warmth underneath. Yellow gets neutralised, orange gets knocked back, and what is left reads as ash or platinum depending on which of the two shades you use and how light the base was to start with.
It is a post-bleach product, so it needs bleached or pre-lightened hair to work on. Use it as soon as the lift is finished, then again whenever brassiness starts creeping back.
Two shades to choose between, and neither of them lightens anything. A toner deposits and corrects, which means the lift has to be finished before this comes near the hair.

Application tips
Towel-dry after the bleach rinse so the hair is damp rather than dripping, then mix and apply quickly and evenly. Slow, uneven application is what leaves patches behind.
Start on the sections that look warmest and finish on the palest. Watch it develop instead of walking away, and rinse the moment the tone looks right. Cool water and a gentle shampoo afterwards keep it there for longer.
Results
Yellow drops out and orange settles down, so a straw-coloured result turns cool inside one application. Where you land between ash and platinum depends on the shade you chose and how pale the base was underneath.
Hair looks more expensive than the bleach left it, with light coming off a flatter surface. Nothing is lifted in the process, so nothing extra is asked of hair that has just been through a lightener.
