Application tips
Lay the edges exactly as you want them first, because the scarf sets whatever it finds. Then place the band along the hairline so it covers the gelled section and stops short of the rest.
Tie at the back with enough tension to hold and no more. Fifteen or twenty minutes will do while the gel is drying. Left on longer, or overnight, it sets a firmer pattern.
Results
Edges come out flat and glossy with the swoops still where you placed them, rather than lifting at the ends as the gel dries.
Pressure is even across the whole hairline, so no section ends up flatter than the one beside it. Under a unit, the front stops creeping backwards as the hours pass. Baby hairs come out from underneath undisturbed instead of frizzed.
