Application tips
Cut a piece larger than the area you are covering, because lace frays and you will want the margin.
For a new unit, block the head, pin the lace taut and ventilate in small groups so the knots stay hidden. For a repair, trim the damaged section back to clean mesh, overlay a patch and stitch around the edge. Tint the lace to skin before wearing.
Results
A hairline that survives daylight. The mesh is fine enough that knots sit close to the skin instead of standing proud, so a parting reads as a parting rather than a seam.
Brown holds up better than beige against deeper skin, needing less tinting to disappear. On a repair the join is invisible once the patch is knotted and the unit goes back into rotation.
