Palmer's Amino Bonding Complex Bonding Healing Oil 4oz Heat Protectant
Two jobs, one bottle. It is a heat protectant you apply before a blow-dry or a flat iron, and a finishing oil you use afterwards on the ends. The heat protection is rated to 450F (232C), which covers most irons on their higher settings.
The formula is built around arginine, an amino acid, with biotin, collagen, squalane and argan oil alongside it. It is concentrated, so the 4oz bottle is not a small one in practice. Palmer's suggest starting at one to three drops and building from there.

On textured hair, put it on damp hair before you dry, then a single drop on dry ends afterwards. Any more than that and curls lose their grip on each other.

Application tips
A coin-sized pool in the palm for mid-length hair, more if it is thick.
On damp hair it goes on before the dryer, spread from the mid-lengths down and then over the surface. On dry hair a few drops smooth the ends and the top layer. Because it holds up to heat at 450F, apply it before the tools rather than after, and never onto a section you are about to iron wet.
Results
Frizz drops away and flyaways settle, so a blow dry finishes smoother than it otherwise would. Shine is high without the hair feeling coated, which is down to how thin the oil is.
Strands feel stronger under tension over a few weeks of use, and there is less snapping at the comb. The concentration means a little covers a head, and too much reads as greasy at the roots within an hour.
