ORS built this masque as a weekly reset for exactly that. It works in two directions at once. Micro-exfoliators and rose clay lift build-up and excess oil off the scalp without stripping it back to squeaking. Active aloe and the PE15 bio complex go the other way, putting moisture back into the hair and smoothing the cuticle down so the lengths do not pay for the clean-up.

Section damp hair, apply straight to the scalp and roots, massage in circles, then work the rest through. Once a week is plenty. 227g.
Where it sits in the routine matters. Use it before your conditioner or mask rather than after, since the clay does the clearing and the conditioning step should follow it. If your wash day already includes a clarifying shampoo, pick one or the other; doing both in the same session takes more off than most textured hair wants to give up.

Application tips
Use it in place of conditioner on wash day so it does not add a step. Shampoo first, then apply along the partings and press it in with the pads of your fingers, moving over the whole head.
Five to ten minutes is enough for the clay to do its part. Rinse in warm water, taking care to clear it from behind the ears.
Results
The scalp comes out clean and calm rather than clean and tight, which is the difference the aloe makes alongside the clay.
Roots look brighter at the parting and the hair holds a style again once the coating has gone. Nor do the lengths suffer for it; they come out conditioned enough to comb through without a separate treatment afterwards.
