Application tips
Wet hair, then apply straight to the scalp in a grid of partings rather than dumping it on top. Massage for a full minute so the clay has time to pick up oil, then let it run down the lengths.
A second short wash is worth it if you use dry shampoo. Rinse until the hair squeaks slightly, then condition the ends.
Results
Roots feel properly clean and stay that way an extra day or so, which is the practical measure of a detox wash.
Hair looks brighter and lifts at the root because nothing is weighing it down. It is a strong cleanse, so lengths can come out a little rough on their own; a conditioner or mask afterwards sorts that out.
