Application tips
Setting waves means brushing the hair down first. Fitting a unit means braiding it flat underneath. Either way, that prep happens before the cap does.
Pull the cap from the forehead back in one movement, then run a thumb round the band to seat it evenly. Ten minutes under one after a brush-out is enough to set a fresh pattern before a client leaves the chair.
Results
Pressure is even across the head rather than concentrated at the crown, so a brush-out holds its direction all the way to the nape.
The band keeps its tension through repeated use instead of loosening after a few wears. Air passes through, which makes long stretches comfortable. Under a unit it takes the rubbing that would otherwise land on your edges.
