For hair that is already lightened and wants warmth rather than one flat tone, Psychedelic Sunset runs orange and red together in a single pot. It is a high-pigment semi-permanent cream, so it deposits colour on the hair rather than lifting anything out of it.

  • A fiery orange and red blend, at its brightest on pre-lightened hair
  • No developer and no peroxide to mix, which keeps the process short
  • A nourishing cream base that softens the hair while the colour goes on
  • Vegan, PETA-certified and free from animal-derived ingredients

Because nothing in the formula is oxidising the hair, topping the colour up as it softens is far less of a decision than it would be with a permanent dye. It goes on directly, with no mixing stage at all.

118ml. Best for a warm, artistic colour rather than anything that passes for natural.

Application tips

Comb it through properly. A blended orange-red shows patchiness more than a flat colour does, and the comb is what evens the deposit along each strand.

Work in small sections, brush both sides, then run a wide-tooth comb from root to tip before you move on. Leave it for forty minutes under a wrap and rinse cold.

Results

A warm blend that reads orange where the light hits and red in shadow, shifting as you move.

Hair is left soft, since the cream is a conditioning base carrying pigment rather than a chemical lifting anything. Warm shades fade faster than cool ones. Expect the red to go first, leaving a copper that still looks deliberate.
