Application tips
After shaving, decant a little into cupped palms and press it onto the face rather than rubbing, which is less of a shock at double strength. It will sting on anything you have nicked.
As a scalp tonic, part the hair and put it down onto the skin a few drops at a time. Between washes is when it earns its place. Keep the cap on tight, since it evaporates fast once opened.
Results
Skin feels clean, tight in the way an astringent leaves it, and cool for a good few minutes afterwards. On the scalp the cooling is the main event, especially under a hat or a wig in summer.
Then there is the smell, which is why this formula has lasted as long as it has. Spicy, woody and sharp at the front for a minute or two, settling into something quieter that stays put for hours.
