Boar bristle does something nylon cannot. The fibre is close enough in structure to hair itself that it lifts the natural oil off the scalp and carries it down the strand, which is where the shine on a well brushed head actually comes from.
The 7719 is the soft wave brush in that material, mounted on a wooden handle. Soft boar suits fine hair, short cuts and the early weeks of wave training, when brushing for ten minutes twice a day would leave a scalp raw under anything firmer. It lays the top layer neatly and it finishes a session beautifully, and because the bristles pick up oil as they go, a few extra passes do more for shine than another product would.
If your hair is coarse, keep this as the finishing brush and let a harder one do the laying. Wash it rarely, dry it bristles down, and never leave a wooden handle sitting in water.
