Application tips
Cornrow the hair down first, then fit the cap over the braids and settle the edge where the wefts will start.
Sew the cap to the braids at a few anchor points before any hair goes on, or it will travel as you work. The wefts then go through cap and braid together. Take it out by cutting the thread rather than pulling, and hand wash it between installs.
Results
Tension spreads across the whole cap instead of landing on individual braids, so the pull at the roots is a fraction of what a direct sew-in puts there.
Your own hair sits against fabric, not against thread and weft, which cuts the abrasion right down over a four to six week wear. The oil carried in the cap means those weeks are spent against something conditioning.
