Application tips
The stocking goes on last, once the braids are down and flat.
Pull it on from the crown, roll the edge into place just behind the hairline, and smooth it back with the palms so nothing gathers at the temples. Sitting too high at the front? Roll the hem under once rather than dragging the whole cap forward. Rinse in cool water after a few wears and dry it flat, away from a radiator.
Results
The fabric disappears under a unit. No ridge at the parting, no line at the nape, nothing showing through a lace front.
Braids stay put underneath and are not rubbing directly on the inside of the wig all day, so fewer ends come loose. The oil in the weave leaves the hair softer after a long wear than a plain nylon cap manages.
