A U-part wig leaves an opening at the top so a section of your own hair can be pulled through and blended over the join. Done well, nobody can tell where the wig starts, because the part they are looking at is genuinely your hair and your scalp.

This cap has the U already cut for a centre parting, which is the fiddly bit removed. Getting that shape right by hand is where home wig projects usually go wrong. Sew or glue your wefts around it, leave the opening clear, and the parting sits where it is meant to.

The cap itself is built to survive repeated wear rather than falling apart once the wig is finished, and it is breathable enough to keep on for a full day. For anyone making their own wigs, this is the foundation that decides how natural the finished thing looks.

Application tips

Leave a strip of your own hair loose along the centre before anything else, roughly the width of the opening, and braid the rest down flat. Position the cap so the cut-out sits directly over that leave-out.

When you sew, stop a good centimetre short of the opening edge so no thread shows at the parting. Blend the leave-out over the join last, once the wefts are all in.

Results

The parting is real hair on real scalp, which is why this construction reads as natural in a way a closure has to work hard to fake. Nobody hunts for the join because the bit they are looking at is yours.

The cap holds its shape across repeat wears instead of going soft after the first outing, and it stays comfortable across a working day underneath a finished unit.

Composition

The full INCI is printed on the pack. We publish it here as soon as the brand supplies it, and we will read it off the bottle for you if you ask.
