Over cornrows it does two things at once. Application tips
Cornrow the hair down first, then bring the net over the top and draw it to the nape so it lies against the braids with no ridges. Trim the excess at the perimeter and sew the edge down along the hairline.
Anchor it at four points before you start on the wefts, so it cannot travel while you work. At takedown, cut the perimeter thread rather than hauling the net off in one piece.
Results
The braided base disappears under an even, continuous surface. Wefts then sit on something predictable, so a weave settles flat on top and the tracks underneath stop announcing themselves.
Sewing into the net spreads the pull across the whole foundation, which takes strain off individual braids. It also washes and comes back into shape ready for the next install.
