Application tips
Coarse hair takes more product than the tub suggests and thin hair takes less, so go by whether the section looks coated, not by how many scoops.
Squeeze the water out first, apply in four sections from the ears down, and comb through so nothing is missed. Skip the roots entirely. This one flattens what it touches, which is what you want on the lengths and not at all what you want at the crown.
