Curly hair does not respond well to a mask designed for straight hair with more oil poured into it. L'Oreal Professionnel co-developed this one with four curl and coil specialists, Titus Magida, Vivi Siqueira, Derick Monroe and Elodie Euston, which is a fairly direct admission that the standard formula was never going to cover it.
What comes out of that is a rich 250 ml mask aimed at definition and elasticity rather than softness alone. Dry curls lose their spring before they lose their shine, and hydration is what puts the bounce back.

Apply to clean, damp hair in sections, leave it a few minutes, then rinse fully or partially depending on how much weight your curls will take.
Denser textures usually want more product and a longer sit. Fine curls want less of both, or the definition turns into limpness.

Application tips
Squish it in rather than smoothing it on. Curly hair takes a mask best when you cup a section and press the product up towards the scalp, which forces it into the clumps instead of sliding over the top.
Detangle while it is on and the hair is slippery, using fingers or a wide-tooth comb from the ends upwards. That single habit does more for length retention than the mask itself.
Results
Elasticity is the change to watch for. A curl that used to stretch and stay stretched starts springing back, and that bounce is the first thing dryness takes away.
Definition sharpens because the clumps hold together instead of separating into frizz as they dry. The hair feels properly conditioned without going limp, and wash day gets shorter because detangling stops being the long part.
