7.0 is the natural blonde in the range, the one with no ash or gold correction attached to it. A dark blonde base stays a dark blonde, just evened out and covered.
The 0 at the end of the number is the useful part. It means natural, no reflect added, so what you get is the level rather than a tone laid over it. That makes 7.0 a reliable base to build on if you plan to add a gloss later.
The High Shine Elixir is enriched with precious oils and gets mixed straight into the colour before you apply it, so the gloss is built into the deposit rather than added as a rinse afterwards. Grey coverage is the other reason people pick 7.0 over a toner or a semi. It is permanent, and it takes on the resistant greys a temporary colour slides straight off.

Application tips
The elixir mixes into the colour at the bottle stage, not afterwards, so add it before you shake. Test for sensitivity as the leaflet instructs and leave the gap it asks for.
Apply dry, in four sections, roots first for a full head, or the root area only for a retouch. Rinse until the water is clear, use the conditioner supplied, and give the hair a day before any heat.
Results
Brassiness is the usual complaint with a mid blonde, and this stays on the right side of it, with the tone even from root to end.
Shine is the part people notice first, and it holds rather than dulling after a couple of washes. Hair feels soft instead of straw-like, and the shade stays vibrant across weeks instead of sliding warm.
