10.21 is about as light as a box colour goes, and the .21 is doing the important work. That is the pearl and ash sitting in the shade, and it is what stops a very light blonde turning yellow the way an unmodified one will.
Preference is built around fade resistance. The high-resistance dyes hold the shade for up to eight weeks, so the colour stays cool and clean through a couple of months of washing instead of drifting warm after three.

Application tips
Porous ends grab pigment faster than the rest of the head, so leave them until near the finish and comb through before the timer runs out.
Test for a reaction first, exactly as the leaflet sets out. Hair should be dry and a day or so past its last wash. Start where you need the most lift. Rinse thoroughly and condition.
Results
Very light blonde that stays clean rather than tipping warm, with an even finish from the roots down.
The colour reflects light well, so hair looks polished instead of porous, which is the usual giveaway at this level. Washing does not drag it towards yellow anything like as fast as an untoned blonde would.
