L'Oréal Blond Studio 40 Nutri Developer for Professional & Consistent Hair Lightening 1000ml/33.81 oz
Forty volume is the top of the Blond Studio range and it is not the default choice. You go to it when the base is dark, the target is light, and the lift has to happen in one process rather than being spread across two.
The formula is fully stabilised and buffered, which keeps the power consistent from the moment you mix it to the moment you rinse. Uneven strength is how patchy blonde happens, and that is the failure this is built to avoid.
The texture is rich and does not drip, which is precisely what freehand work needs. Balayage, ombre and painted highlights all depend on product staying where the brush put it instead of bleeding into the section below.
1000ml (33.81 oz), for professional use with the Blond Studio lighteners.
Aqua/Water, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Salicylate, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Phosphoric Acid, Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA, Ceteareth-25, Glycerin, Parfum/Fragrance

Application tips
Reserve it for the jobs that genuinely need it. Dark base, light target, one process, nothing already coloured sitting in the way.
Mix with a Blond Studio lightener to the stated ratio and apply fast, since the working time is short at this strength. Off-scalp only. Keep a strand under watch throughout and rinse the moment the target level arrives rather than at the end of a timer.
Results
Maximum lift in a single process, which saves a second appointment on a dark base heading somewhere genuinely light.
Because the strength holds steady from the mix to the rinse, the result comes up uniform rather than blotchy. The thick texture matters most in freehand work, where product creeping down into the next section ruins the definition a balayage depends on. Condition afterwards is entirely down to how carefully it was timed.
