Custard is a useful format for anyone caught between a cream that does not hold and a gel that goes hard. It has body to it, spreads like a thick lotion, and dries down with structure rather than a shell. That suits 3b to 4c coils, and looser 2a waves that want serious hold.
Keracare builds this one on amla and shikakai, the Ayurvedic pair that runs through the Natural Textures range, with pectin for hold and argan and abyssinian oils for moisture. Curls, waves and spirals come out defined and shiny, and the definition lasts several days rather than one.
