Locs shine differently from loose hair.
The surface is uneven, so general purpose shine sprays either slide off it or collect in the gaps. Shine-A-Loc is made for that surface specifically. It fills the microscopic irregularities on the outside of a loc with conditioning oils and polymers, which evens the surface out so light reflects off it in one direction rather than scattering. Mature, fully sealed locs get the most from it, though it works at any stage of the journey.
The 4 oz formula is designed to stay on the loc rather than migrate down to the scalp, so you get shine without the build up that forces an early maintenance wash. Apply lightly, one loc at a time, and let it settle.
Tagged for type 2a to 3c, though in practice it is a loc product first and foremost.
