Monoi de Tahiti is coconut oil that has had tiare flowers steeped in it, and that is where the scent comes from. Hollywood Beauty build this oil around it, so the bottle smells of gardenia long before you notice what it does to the hair.
What it does is condition. The oil works into the hair shaft rather than resting on top, reinforcing weak, brittle strands and cutting down the breakage that daily handling causes. Dry, dull hair softens. The scalp stops feeling tight.

Application tips
Drop the sealed bottle into a mug of just boiled water for a few minutes first, since a coconut base sets solid in a cold bathroom.
Part damp or dry hair into four and pour a line along each parting, then rub it down the lengths. Cover with a cap for twenty minutes, or leave it overnight, then shampoo it out. Keep it off the roots on fine hair.
Results
Weak, brittle strands come out feeling more solid and less inclined to snap while you are handling them. Dull hair picks up a soft gloss, and the scalp is more comfortable afterwards, without the drawn feeling that follows a stripping wash.
