The use case is specific, and once you have hit it you will understand the product immediately. Gel or hairspray has set into a style, the style has not survived the day, and washing means an hour you do not have. The foam breaks the residue down so you can comb it out and restyle. A glycerin and panthenol complex sits in the formula to keep the hair and scalp from feeling stripped, which is the usual side effect of anything that removes product.

Application tips
Dispense a palmful and go straight to where the product actually is, usually the front, the crown and the hairline rather than the whole head. Massage until the residue softens and starts to lift, then take a comb through to pull it out. Blot the comb on a towel between passes. Restyle immediately, while the hair is still slightly damp, since that is when it is most cooperative.
Results
Yesterday's gel or hairspray comes away and the hair goes back to being workable, which saves the whole wash and dry cycle when there is no time for it. The foam is light and does not leave the hair wet. Scalp feels comfortable rather than stripped afterwards. What you get back is hair that will take a new style, not hair that feels freshly washed.
