FRU's Avocado and Melon conditioner goes after both at once, with ripe avocado doing the heavier conditioning and melon extract keeping the whole thing from behaving like a mask. It is a rinse-out step rather than a treatment, so it fits into a normal wash without adding time, and it suits wavy through to loose coily hair, 2a to 4a, that is dry rather than damaged.

Application tips
Squeeze the water out of your hair first. Conditioner slides straight off a soaking wet head and you end up using twice as much.
Take a palmful, split it between two hands and press it into the lower two thirds, then finger comb each side down. Give it two or three minutes while you finish washing. Rinse in cooler water than you washed in. Roots need none of it.
Results
Hair feels padded rather than coated when you rinse it out, and the comb goes through in one pass on most textures. Dull lengths pick up light again as they dry, because a smoothed surface throws light back instead of scattering it.
Nothing heavy is left behind, so waves keep their lift and looser coils keep their spring. Several washes in, the difference is clearer than it is after one.
