Application tips
Dark shades stain, so protect the hairline with a barrier cream and keep a damp cloth to hand for drips. Patch test 48 hours in advance. Mix and time it according to the pack.
Apply to dry hair, roots first, then pull through the lengths for the last few minutes only if the ends have already been coloured. Rinse thoroughly before shampooing.
Results
Rich, dark brown with the depth that shade needs to avoid looking flat and black. Grey is covered completely rather than picking up a lighter halo.
Shine is good, which on dark colour is what separates expensive-looking from cheap-looking. It holds its tone for weeks before warmth starts to creep in around the parting and the temples.
