Bleached and blonde hair goes brassy because the underlying warm pigment shows through as the toner fades. Purple sits opposite yellow on the wheel, which is why a violet-pigmented mask cancels it out.

Cameleo Silver does that job with concentrated purple pigment, and unlike a purple shampoo it conditions while it tones. Hydrolysed keratin and argan oil are in there for the hair itself, which matters, because lifted and bleached hair is usually dry and porous before it is ever brassy. The mask puts moisture back and smooths the cuticle down, so the colour reads cooler and the hair feels better rather than squeaky and rough.

How often you reach for it depends on how fast your hair pulls warmth back. Very porous, heavily lifted hair takes pigment quickly and can go lilac if the mask sits too long, so start with a short application and build from there rather than leaving it on like an ordinary conditioner. Darker blondes and highlights can take longer without going anywhere odd.

200ml / 6.76 oz. Made for blonde, grey, bleached and highlighted hair, and it works best as the thing you use between salon visits to hold a cool tone rather than as a one-off correction after it has already gone.

Application tips

Coverage matters more than dwell time. Work from mid-length to end on clean wet hair, gloved, and start where the hair is least damaged rather than where it looks worst.

Two minutes is the sensible first attempt. Rinse, look at it in daylight, and add time next wash if the tone needs more. On heavily lifted hair the gap between cool and violet is about a minute.

Results

Tone shifts cool and the hair holds it for a week or two before the warmth creeps back. On a pale base the change is obvious after one use; on a darker blonde it is subtler and takes repeating.

Texture afterwards is the other half of it. Hair finishes soft and combable, with the cuticle smoothed enough to catch the light.
