Colouring textured hair carries a particular risk, which is that the process leaves the curl drier and quicker to snap than it was before. Dark and Lovely have built this permanent dye around that problem, with the conditioning worked into the colour step itself instead of bolted on afterwards.
Argan oil and aloe vera do the moisturising, with vitamin E in there as well. What you get is colour that holds its depth rather than fading out warm after a few washes, on hair that still has movement in it once the process is over.

Apply evenly and work the colour right down to the scalp, paying attention to roots and ends where coverage usually falls short. If you wear protective styles, make sure it reaches the scalp through the braids or the weave rather than sitting on the surface.

Application tips
Do the allergy alert test the pack asks for, at the interval it specifies, every time and not only the first.
On the day, work on dry unwashed hair and start where the grey sits heaviest so it gets the longest contact. Wear the gloves. Rinse until the water runs completely clear, then leave the hair a couple of days before the next shampoo so the tone settles.
Results
Greys take the colour instead of staying pale in the parting, and the tone keeps its richness across many washes rather than drifting warm and dusty.
Because the conditioning happens during the colour, hair comes out with slip rather than the rough, thirsty feel that usually follows a permanent dye. Curls keep their pattern and their bounce.
