Colour For Me Permanent Henna Hair Colour | Vibrant Burgundy Shade for Natural, Healthy Hair
Burgundy is a commitment. It is a deep red with purple sitting underneath it, and on dark hair it shows up as a shift in the light rather than an obvious colour change, which is a large part of the appeal.
Colour For Me build it from ethically sourced henna powder and botanical extracts, with no ammonia anywhere in the formula. The henna coats each strand as it colours, so the hair comes out with more strength and more shine than it went in with. Grey covers over naturally, taking the tone slightly brighter where it lands.
For anyone whose scalp objects to conventional permanent dye, this is the more comfortable route to a red. Mix, apply to clean dry hair, and give the colour a couple of days to settle before judging the depth.
We list the full INCI where the brand supplies it. For this one it is not on file yet, so the pack is the reliable source. If you need to check an ingredient before you buy, message us and we will read it off the bottle.

Application tips
Burgundy shows most on light or pre-lightened hair and reads as a red glow on dark hair. Strand test first so you know which one you are getting.
Work on dry hair with gloves and a non-metal bowl. Start at the back where the hair is coolest and slowest to take, then move forward. Cover, develop, rinse with water alone. A dark towel and an old pillowcase save you a job later.
Results
A deep red with purple sitting underneath it, more wine than pillar box, and it shifts with the light rather than staying one flat tone.
Red is the fastest shade to fade in any format, so expect it to soften over several weeks into a warmer, browner version of itself. The strand feels coated and substantial, and shine holds up better than it does after a bleach and tone.
Composition
- Henna
- Wraps the strand in plant pigment, so colour arrives with body and shine
