Colour fades for two reasons and only one of them is the colour itself. Every wash lifts a little pigment out through a cuticle that colouring has already roughed up, so the smoother you keep that cuticle, the longer the shade holds.
Cantu's answer is quinoa protein. Their Colour Protecting Technology is built on it, and it works by smoothing and sealing rather than by putting pigment back, which is why the masque also does the ordinary job of a deep conditioner. Colour-treated hair is dry hair as a rule, and this handles both halves in one step.
Quinoa protein sits at the lighter end of the protein family, and that is what makes weekly use realistic. A heavier protein would strengthen the hair and stiffen it in the same pass.
12 oz, or 340 gm, aimed squarely at hair that has been coloured and is showing it. Use it weekly rather than on every wash, on clean damp hair, and rinse in cool water if you can stand it. Cool water closes the cuticle and the colour lasts a little longer for it.

Application tips
Shampoo first, squeeze out the water, then apply a thick layer through the mid lengths and ends in four sections. Comb it through so nothing is missed.
Ten to fifteen minutes is enough, with a cap on if you want the warmth. Skip the scalp, and do not stack it on top of another protein treatment in the same week.
Results
The cuticle lies flatter, so colour looks richer and holds its tone further into the weeks after a salon visit.
Dryness is dealt with in the same pass, which is convenient because coloured hair is almost always dry hair. Quinoa protein is light enough that the strand firms up without stiffening, and the finish is shiny rather than coated.
