C2C Professional Cream Peroxide 30 Vol Powerful Hair Lightening & Colour Development for Professional Hairdressers 1000ml/33.81 oz
Thirty volume is the workhorse strength. At 9 per cent it gives roughly two to three levels of lift, which covers most permanent colour work, standard highlights, and getting through a level or two of existing depth without going straight to the strongest developer on the shelf.
The C2C cream sits thick enough not to run off the section while you are working, which is the practical difference between a cream developer and a liquid one. Mixed with bleach or with a permanent tint it stays where you put it, and it processes evenly rather than going faster at the front of the head than the back.
The 1000ml bottle is a salon quantity. If you colour regularly, buying developer by the litre rather than in single-application bottles is the obvious saving. Pair it with a high-lift tint or a powder bleach depending on the job. As with any peroxide, mix to the ratio stated by the lightener or colour you are using, and patch test first.
Aqua (Water), Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Etidronic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Stannate, Disodium Pyrophosphate

Application tips
Mix to the ratio the lightener or tint specifies, not to habit, because bleach and tint rarely want the same one. A non-metallic bowl and a brush, mixed to a smooth cream with no streaks left in it. Apply in fine sections, working through quickly so the first panel is not twenty minutes ahead of the last. Gloves throughout. Patch test and strand test before any service.
Results
Two to three levels of lift, which covers root touch-ups, standard highlights and most permanent colour work. The cream body is thick enough to stay on the section instead of running onto skin or the panel below, so the placement you brushed is the placement that develops. Colour comes up even, front to back, rather than warmer wherever the application started.
