A hair and body wash for children, which is the sensible format when the child in question will not stand still for two products.

Aloe vera does the conditioning work. It is light, it holds water, and it does not leave the greasy film a butter-heavy children's product can leave on fine curls. The formula is tear-free and mild enough for skin as well as hair, so bath time becomes one bottle and one negotiation instead of three.

Detangling is the real win. Curls come out of the bath with enough slip to get a wide-tooth comb through, which is where most of the crying happens otherwise.

Made for children with 2a through 3b curls. The 8 oz bottle is part of the Born Curly line, so it pairs with the rest of that range.

Application tips

Bath time is already a negotiation, so this doubles as a body wash if that helps.

Soak the hair, use a small amount, and massage with fingertips. It lathers plenty on children's hair. Tip the head back to rinse and keep it away from the eyes anyway.

Follow with a detangling leave-in while the hair is still soaking, then comb before you towel anything.

Results

Clean and still soft, so the comb afterwards is a shorter argument. Small curls stay defined instead of matting into a cloud, and the scalp is left comfortable rather than dry and tight the next day. Sensitive skin generally copes with it. Knots loosen more easily, which is often the gap between a five minute wash day and a twenty minute one.
