African Pride Moisture Miracle Shampoo 12oz
Coconut oil goes into the strand rather than sitting on top of it, and honey holds water in behind it. That pairing is why a shampoo which genuinely cleans still leaves coils soft at the end of it.
This is a proper shampoo rather than a co-wash, which is worth knowing if you have got used to low-foam cleansing. It lathers, it rinses out clean, and it lifts dirt and product build-up without taking the hair's own oils along too. That balance is what most curly-hair shampoos are trying and failing to strike.
Use a generous amount on wet hair, work it into a lather, rinse, and repeat if the hair still feels coated. Follow with the matching Moisture Miracle Nourish and Restore Conditioner if you have it.
The 12oz bottle sits comfortably in the 2a to 3c range.

Application tips
Soak the hair first. Shampoo on half-wet hair sits in patches and never lathers properly. Once it is running wet, work a generous amount along the scalp in rows, then let the lather travel down the lengths on its own as you rinse rather than scrubbing the ends. Repeat if the hair still feels coated. Nourish and Restore Conditioner is the next step.
Results
Dirt, sweat and the residue from a week of styling come away, and the oils your hair made itself largely stay. That balance is what stops the squeak. Honey and coconut oil work through the lather, so the hair is already softening while it is being cleaned, and it dries with a shine rather than the dull, roughed-up look a harsh wash leaves.
