Three packs is the honest starting point for most full installs, and buying them together beats discovering halfway through that you are one pack short with a client in the chair.

The fibre is a Kanekalon-style modacrylic, and the reason braiders keep going back to it is the balance between grip and slip. Enough grip that sections stay where you put them, enough slip that the strand does not drag as you feed. Parts come out clean and feed-ins blend rather than stepping.

Across three packs you can:

  • Build density on a full head without rationing
  • Blend two or three shades for a graduated colour
  • Keep a spare pack for touch-ups from the same batch

It works on wavy, curly and coily hair, and it stays light enough that a long install does not pull.

Application tips

Open all three packs at the start and draw from them evenly rather than finishing one before you touch the next. Batches can sit a shade apart, and mixing as you go hides it.

Settle on your braid size before the first part goes in. Thicker braids eat through fibre faster, and running short two rows from the end is a miserable place to be.

Results

Three packs covers a full head at ordinary density, with enough spare to redo a row that has slipped or fill in round the hairline later on.

The braids sit light against the scalp, so a full head is not sore by the evening. Sections hold their shape while you work, and the finished style keeps a clean line from the part all the way down.

Composition

The full INCI is printed on the pack. We publish it here as soon as the brand supplies it, and we will read it off the bottle for you if you ask.
