Honey is a humectant, which means it draws moisture towards the hair and holds it there. That is the whole logic of this sheen, and it is why a 4 oz bottle can be light and still leave locs feeling conditioned rather than coated.

Use it as a finish rather than a base. A light pass over the locs after you have moisturised, or on its own between washes when they need reviving. Hold the bottle back from the head so the coverage lands evenly rather than concentrating in one spot.

Application tips
Hold it about thirty centimetres from the head and mist over dry, finished locs, moving as you spray so nothing gets soaked in one place. A light pass is enough.
Use it after a retwist, before you leave the house, or midweek when locs start to look dull. Keep it off the scalp; this one is for the hair.
Results
Dull locs pick up light again straight away, and the sheen stops well short of greasy. Locs feel more supple to the touch and less papery, and static drops off, which helps in winter.
The finish stays put without attracting lint or leaving a film on your hands. The honey scent is warm and does not clash with anything else in the routine.
